Favorites Youtubers- LilPumpkinPie05

I love to watch and learn from people on YouTube. I am subscribed to a few YouTubers which I think are very talented and I think I have learned a lot from. I think many of you can benefit and learn from them too. One of my favorite has to be the talented and beautiful LilPumkinPie05. Her personality just shines through. You can tell she is an amazing woman. Let me tell you her looks are amazing. She takes her time to teach you the techniques and when asked questions via twitter or Instagram she does answer to the best of her abilities and if she sees them. In my opinion she has to be one of the top 10 best makeup gurus on YouTube. So check her out on YouTube and subscribe. She also has a blog www.Makeupgameonpoint.com and you can find her on twitter and Instagram.

Tarina Tarantino Emerald Pretty Eyeshadow Palette

Last month I stopped into Sephora to browse and came across a line I have not ever heard of before. These eyeshadow palettes were so pretty and even better swatched. I wanted to get more than one palette but decided on the Emerald Pretty Palette. Even better they are all on sale at Sephora for 40% off.

Tarina Tarantino Emerald Pretty Eyeshadow Palette consists of 6 full sized eyeshadows inspired by Emerald City. The shadows are called Glinda's Kiss which is a iridescent white, Silver Shoes which is a Pearlized Silver, Dandy Lion which is a Pearlized Olive Green, Saw Dust Heart which is a Matte Brown, Ozma which is a Pearlized Aqua Blue, and Very Wicked which is a Pearlized Emerald Green.

This is my first time trying this brand and I have to say this palette is Excellent. The formula is rich in pigmentation and even those with shimmer had no FALLOUT. AMAZING!!!!  The color payoff is a 10 on all these. I swatched them without a primer and you can see how pigmented, soft, and dense these shadows are. I wore them with a base on the lid and I didn't experience any creasing or fading. The best thing about Tarino Tarantino eyeshadows you can use them wet or dry. I have yet to use them wet. In my opinion $36 dollars for 6 full sized eyeshadows is a bargain compared to Mac's $15 dollars for 1 single eyeshadow. And best of all this palette is on sale for $22 dollars at Sephora or Sephora.com. So get your hands on them while you can.

Sorry about the lighting. I take these pictures using my Iphone 4. Not the best quality

Real Techniques Setting BRUSH

Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Setting BrushThis is just a quick review of one of the many Real Techniques brushes I have in my collection. The Real Techniques setting brush has got to be one of my favorite brushes from this line. I even like it more than the Expert face brush that was launched around the same time as this brush. This setting brush is very unique and versatile. It almost looks like a oversized blending brush. This brush is used to set powder under your eyes or to apply highlighter in precise areas. This brush is perfect for adding the right amoung of coverage under the eyes without making it look cakey. I have to add this is also great for creme products. I've also managed to use this brush to contour.

Overall I have to say this is the perfect brush. Compared to other brushes I have even the high end ones I haven't found any type of problems with this one. No shedding at all. This brush is densely packed and with a retail price of $8.99 who can beat that. You can find this brush at Ulta.com or The Real Techniques website.

****Disclaimer: This brush was sent to me by the company for review. I was not paid for this review. This is my honest opinion.

MAC PRO AVAILABLE ONLINE

Goodbye to the days of driving into New York City and sitting through traffic to get to the Mac Pro store. Starting today October 18 Mac Pro products will be available to the public on MACCosmetics.com. You don't have to have a membership to buy pro products just like before. Its just nice to have them online. This is a great addition to the mac website and it is long overdue.

I have been playing around on the website right now to see whats available and what I can add to my list of things I want. So far I see they have the Chromalines, Pigments, Mixing mediums and Creme Color bases. I think they should separate the Pro products from the regular Mac items cause not everyone is familiar with the Pro items. But again this is a great move by Mac to add these Pro items. Good job Mac. Saves me on toll, gas and time. I am soooooooooo excited about this addition to the site.

Any thoughts. What are you guys getting?

TROPICAL TRADITIONS COCONUT OIL REVIEW

http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/images/gold_label_virgin_coconut_oil_32oz.jpg
This review is long over due but I wanted to make sure I really used this product to give you an honest review. I love Coconut Oil and when I got the chance to review a new one I was super excited. I received this product I would say about two months ago from the company. When I received this sample I was expecting a sample size jar but they sent me a 32 oz jar of coconut oil. Which was great. When I first opened the jar and smelled it I was not impressed because it did not smell good. I have used other coconut oils made from other companies in my hair and they have not smelled like this. I was very skeptical on using this. I took a chance and used it that night on my hair. (I always use Coconut oil on my hair as an overnight treatment before I wash my hair the next day). Even though it did not smell good in the jar it did not leave a bad smell or funny odor in my hair which I was surprised by. This oil made my hair very soft and manageable. It has a great texture and consistency which I did not find in other coconut oils.

You can use Coconut oil as a way to condition your hair, cooking, soothe dry skin, as a makeup remover and so on. You can google ways to use this. I have to say I am loving this product and I am using it as a prepoo for my hair. Next thing is to try cooking with this. I will keep you guys updated on how that turns out.

Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website: What is Virgin Coconut Oil? You can also watch the video they produced about Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil:

Mac Style Seeker Collection

Mac Style Seeker was released today in stores and I was so excited for this collection but I must say I was not that impressed once I got to the counter. I've been watching videos on you-tube on people who were able to get these products early and reading different blogs to view some swatches. I still wanted to go out and play around with these items myself.
"Fall colour surfaces in a vivid colour collection influenced by the spirit and style of a global wanderer. She has a knack for juxtaposing vintage, ethnic, flea market and avant-garde into stunning original looks, inspiring a world of wanderlust as eclectic and fashionable as she is. Translucent, buildable, Powder Blush adds glow. Eye Shadow Duos create brilliant, sultry effects punctuated with Fluidline. Classic Mattene Lipstick is revived for dramatic, dense colour that lasts for hours. Lipglass gets fresh flair in new shades, and Nail Lacquer in jewel tones and metallics extend the opulence to the tips of the fingers"

I swatched everything while I was at the counter and the eyeshadow quads except one was a miss. They were not pigmented at all and the formula was off from the regular Mac eyeshadows. You would have to put in some work and time to build up some of these colors. There are 4 quads included in this collection and 3 of the 8 shades are already included in Mac's permanent line. I ended up with the one quad which was Marche Aux Puces. This was the most pigmented quad and I actually think its sold out online.

There are 3 blushes included which I have to say were very nice. I ended up getting Hidden Treasure just because I didn't have a color like that in my collection. I passed on everything else because I either had something similar or it just didn't do it for me.

To view the whole collection and swatches you can go to www.temptalia.com or www.allurabeauty.com. Let me know what you guys think of this collection.

Laura Mercier Lingerie Eye & Cheek Palette

When I saw this palette on someones blog ( I can't recall which one) I completely fell in love. I went searching online everywhere for this to notice it came out in January. I thought I always miss the good ones. But I still didn't give up. I was determined to get my hands on this. I got on a chat with Nordstrom (who always comes through) and she was able to track one down for me at their store in Missouri. I wanted to do a happy dance at work. I was super excited and had it ordered for me. It arrived a couple of days ago and I must say this was worth the $60 I paid. It has such beautiful colors and its very pigmented. I love the color selection because its an array of colors that's wearable everyday. It has a range of mattes, lustre, shimmer and satin eyeshadows and the shimmer is not too overbearing. The eyeshadows are smooth, they don't crease and they blend like no other. The blushes I love except the peach one because it does not show up at all on my NW45 skin. Its very sheer compared to the pink one. This is my very first product I ever bought from Laura Mercier and I must say I am excited and I cant wait to try more from this line. I was not dissappointed. I love this palette. Its small and very practical and can fit in any makeup bag you have in your purse.

Mac Volcanic Ash Exfoliator

With the Heavenly Creatures Collection came the highly anticipated Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. This is a Repromote from a previous collection I think about two years ago. I didn't buy it last time and with all the great things I heard about it I thought I should grab one before it sells out. Let me just say I am not at all impressed with this. I have been using this since it came out in July and I have broken out horrendously. Yes, it makes your face smooth but I didn't expect the breakouts.

A highly effective, dual-purpose foaming, cleansing and exfoliating scrub blending natural Volcanic Ash with fine sugar crystals. Refines and unclogs the skin, adds instant moisture: leaves skin feeling soft and comfortably clean. Mineral-rich. May be used effectively on any part of face or body. Rinses off with warm water."

This picture was taken from addictedtoallthingspretty.com

This product is not as gritty as other exfoliators out there. The particles dissolve as you rub it into the skin without leaving the skin irritated. Its a mild exfoliator that doesn't have an unpleasant smell. It leaves skin feeling soft and you will notice the glow it gives. I use this 3 times a week. Besides the breakouts I will give this product a 3.5/5. This is a limited edition product so go get a sample from our nearest Mac counter.

Real Techniques-The Real Deal

I don't know how long the Real Techniques brushes have been around but everyone has been raving about them. So I decided upon myself to give these brushes a try and I must admit I see what everyone is talking about. Some of them are comparable and have even been better than my Mac brushes. I am in love with them. They are affordable and the quality is great. I have been using them for a little over two months and I can't complain. Even when I washed them they don't shed. I was able to go to my nearest Ulta and buy them during their BOGO 1/2 off sale. I bought the Core Collection ($17.99) and the Stippling Brush($4.99). I also wanted the Expert face brush and Blush brush but they sold out. Since I follow Real Techniques on Facebook I saw a post on my timeline that Sneeqpeek was having a 2 day sale so I quickly signed up to see what they had. I was able to get the Expert face and Blush brush for $6.99. I regret not buying more. Lets get to what these brushes are for.

Core Collection Includes 4 brushes and a Traveling bag:
  • Detailer Brush to conceal problem areas
  • Pointed Foundation Brush to use with liquid foundation to build coverage. I use this brush for concealing
  • Buffing Brush used for full coverage foundation with a flawless look
  • Contour brush to contour
Stippling Brush according to www.Realtechniques.com is a dual-fiber brush and is the trade secret for creating airbrushed, high-definition results with all types of makeup

Expert face brush is used for blending of creme and liquid foundation. This has been my go-to brush for foundation because it is so easy to apply without leaving streaks.

Blush Brush evenly distributes blush. The shape males application easy and precise

In all these brushes were a great buy. They are extremely soft but firm and can be used for more than what they are made for. I plan on buying back ups and getting the rest of their collection. To see how these videos are used visit www.realtechniques.com.

I am also including a video off Youtube from Pixiwoo. These brushes were designed by Samantha Chapman

Pictures and Swatches of Mac Heavenly Creatures

                                                       Magnetic Attraction

                                                         Ring Of Saturn

                                                           Stratus

                                           Supernova

                                                     Swatch of Magnetic Attraction

Swatch of blushes from left to right: Supernova, Ring of Saturn, Stratus

Magnetic Attraction has a swirl of gold, orange and cranberry. When applied on the lids its a very nice coral. (Frost)

Supernova is a magenta with swirls of gold. You have to be very light handed when applying and blend very well.

Stratus is described by Mac as Amethyst and golden brown melange. Very beautiful color especially on darker complexions.

Ring of Saturn is a Terracotta and gold. It has a great color payoff without too much shimmer.

I had to skip on the MSF because the colors did not work on my skin tone. It was more of a highlight and had too much shimmer for me.

What did you get from this collection and what are your thoughts?
